Collection 114. Nathaniel C. Curtis, Sr. Drawings
Drawings by New Orleans architect and educator Nathaniel Cortlandt Curtis, Sr. (1881-1953). Most of the drawings were made as illustrations for Curtis' book New Orleans, Its Old Houses, Shops and Public Buildings (Philadelphia, 1927). Among the drawings is the original map reproduced as a fold-out insert in the volume. A native of Alabama, Curtis headed the Tulane architecture program during its early years. He was also the principal designer and draughtsman for the New Orleans architectural firm of Moise H. Goldstein. For more information, visit http://seaa.tulane.edu
