Contributed by his son, William H. McCarroll, in 2011:
     Joseph A. McCarroll was born September 29, 1873, and died October 21, 1970, age 97. After leaving New Jersey in 1942, he practiced architecture in eastern Connecticut until his retirement in 1958.
