Alfred Pashley became a Fellow of the Western Architects Association in 1885. The WAA merged with the AIA in 1889. Pashley remained a Fellow of the AIA until his death on May 23, 1932. The AIA Archives has a death notification letter from the chapter, along with a newspaper clipping from the Chicago Sunday Tribune, May 29, 1932, A - part 1 - pg. 10. The clipping cites a resolution of condolence from the Chicago Chapter of the AIA as its source. The AIA Archives does not have a copy of this resolution; however, many of the records of the Chicago Chapter are housed at the Chicago Historical Society.
See the record of Pashley's partner James Rowland Willett for the biographical sketch of Willett written by Pashley at the time of Willett's death in 1907.
