Marion L. Bradford, 76, of Vestavia Hills died Saturday, July 15, 2006 after an extended illness.
He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. He was a successful architect in Alabama and Florida for over 45 years. He graduated from Auburn University and was an avid Tiger fan. He served his country in active duty in the US Army. He was also elected to the House of Representatives at the early age of 24 from Clarke County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Sybil Bradford and sister, Mary. He is survived by his son, Barry Bradford of Chattanooga, TN, and his daughter, Pam Winks of Vestavia Hills, his grandchildren, Cameron Bradford of Chattanooga, TN, and Sheldon Winks of Vestavia Hills, his brother and sisters, Ralph Bradford of Saraland, AL, Mary Lovell of Atlanta, Joann Holliday of Mobile, AL and Betty Franklin of Mobile; AL; brothers-in-law, Ken Lovell, Norman Holliday, and Gerald Franklin, and daughter-in-law, Becki Bradford of Chattanooga, TN, son-in-law Jay Winks of Vestavia Hills, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A loving father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all of them and by his many friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. and the service was at noon at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood.
