Successor firms:
Hansen Lind Meyer later became HLM Design. It moved from Iowa to North Carolina in the early 1990s, after Charlotte architect Joseph M. Harris became president. HLMDesign acquired other design firms in the 1990s, such as JPJ Architects of Dallas in 1998. HLM Design sold off its Atlanta and Dallas offices to Rees Associates in May 2005, then declared bankruptcy in September 2005, and was bought by Atlanta-based Heery International. Heery took on the employees of HLM's Philadelphia, Denver, Orlando, and Iowa City offices, though not its Charlotte office.
