The American Institute of Architects Archives
      Correspondence files of the Western Association of Architects include letters from Robert Bethune applying for membership in the WAA. He did not carry over his membership into the AIA when the two organizations merged in 1889. He rejoined the AIA in 1902. His AIA membership file contains his membership application, and a letter from his partner William L. Fuchs notifying the AIA of Bethune's death and outlining his life and career.
