      Membership file contains membership application, temporary suspension of membership, request for emeritus (retired) status, and notification of death. The photographs he submitted with his application were returned to him at the time.
      The AIA's rules about competitions were intended to combat unfair practices and ensure that architects were properly compensated for their work. Clients holding competitions could ask the AIA to approve their rules and procedures, and be authorised by the AIA. AIA members could not enter unauthorised competitions under the code of professional ethics.
