A small number of project drawings from the New Orleans firm Ricciuti Associates (Italo William Ricciuti, 1901-1987). Ricciuti graduated from Tulane University in 1931 and undertook graduate study in France and Italy. He worked as a bridge designer and cost estimator for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, then as the Chief Architect for the Pan-American Petroleum Company. He established his own architectural practice in 1938. During World War II he was commissioned by the Coast Guard to construct lookout, patrol and supply bases along the U.S. Gulf Coast. Later, he served as Executive Officer of the Construction Batallion, which designed U.S. bases in the Pacific. He established a partnership with M. Wayne Stoffle (1912-1996) in 1948, operating as Ricciuti, Stoffle and Associates. By 1967, the firm operated as Ricciuti Associates (c. 1960s-1970s). He was associated with the New Orleans architectural firm of Cimini and Meric & Associates in the late 1970s. He was the author of the book New Orleans and Its Environs, with Rudolph Hertzberg (William Helburn, Inc., 1938). For more information, visit http://wwwseaa.tulane.edu/~lmiller/SEAAHome.html
