John and Donald Parkinson architectural drawings for design and construction of the Union Station, Los Angeles, 1910-1991, Accession no. 990035
The collection comprises roughly 6,500 blueprints, architectural drawings, sketches, and photographic documentation of the construction site of the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles made between 1932 and 1939. Drawings dating from the 1940s to 1991 are for revisions to the building or its mechanical systems. Early drawings from 1910 to the 1920s all appear to be examples of railroad track standards.
