Collection 131. John DeMorant and Charles C. Jr. Crawford Drawings
Project drawings by brothers John DeMorant (†1921) and Charles C. Crawford, Jr. (fl. 1902) of New Orleans. The John Crawford drawings consist mainly of design for steam and sailing vessels and were apparently completed in New England. Also included are mechanical drawing exercises as well as blueprints for a pumping plant in Galveston, TX and a power plant in Gulfport, MS. These projects were made while he was an employee of Andrew M. Lockett and Company, a mechanical engineering/architectural firm in New Orleans. For more information, visit http://seaa.tulane.edu
